All refills must be approved by a provider, it is not our policy to refill antibiotics or pain medication without an appointment.
We ask that you bring all your current medications to each of your appointments and ask for any refills at that time. This is the only way a medication refill request can be honored.
In the instance that you should you forget to bring your current medication with you at the time of your appointment, it will then be decided by the provider weather we can call it into your pharmacy or if another appointment is needed before that refill request can be honored.
Due to changes in the insurance policies, we can no longer fax refills to your insurance company's pharmacy, (example: Medco, Caremark, etc.) please make sure you contact your pharmacy on their refill policy and bring the appropriate refill paperwork to your next appointment so we can expedite your refill as soon as possible.
If your insurance company has a drug formulary list please bring this to your appointments also, this will alleviate the need for prior authorizations, which may slow the process of receiving your mediation. |
